Payment Policy

This page sets out how payments are taken on hairstockists.com.

Accepted payment methods

At checkout you can pay with:

  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • PayPal
  • Shop Pay
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay

The icons of the payment methods we accept appear in the footer of every page.

Currency

All prices on hairstockists.com are displayed and charged in British Pounds (GBP).

If your card or PayPal account is in a different currency, your bank or PayPal will convert the amount at their prevailing exchange rate. We do not control or set that rate.

When you are charged

One-time orders. Your payment method is authorised at the moment you place the order, and we charge the full amount immediately. If we are unable to fulfil the order for any reason, you will be refunded to the same payment method.

Subscription orders. Your first subscription order is charged at the moment you place it, exactly like a one-time order. Subsequent renewals are charged automatically at the same frequency you selected (every 1, 3, or 6 months). You will receive an email reminder 3 days before each renewal, and you can pause, skip, or cancel any time from your customer account or by emailing us. Card security

We do not store full card details on our servers. Card payments are processed directly by Shopify Payments (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant). PayPal payments are processed by PayPal. Shop Pay credentials are stored by Shop.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, our payment processor will automatically retry up to three times over five days. We'll email you each time a retry fails so you can update your card. If all retries fail, your subscription will be paused (not cancelled) and we'll wait for you to update your payment method.

Refunds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. UK card refunds typically appear within 5-10 working days. PayPal refunds are usually instant.
